The Columbus Blue Jackets are coming off of a 4-3 win against the Atlanta Thrashers. Raffi Torres scored 2... basically empty net goals, with the goalie Pavelec waaaaay out of position. Also scoring were Derick Brassard and Jakub Voracek. Backup goalie Mathieu Garon let in a goal he would like to have back, other than that, he had a good night making 32 saves. The Jackets look to get a winning streak going, and the odds are looking good at that starting tonight, but they cannot let up one bit.
The Carolina Hurricanes are coming off of a disappointing 3-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Brandon Sutter and Sergei Samsonov had the goals for Carolina, but they allowed 3 straight Toronto goals. The Hurricanes have not looked like themselves this season, and it is quite the shock for a team with such high expectations coming into the season. They look to get everything stabilized, and pull out a win tonight at Nationwide.
