Our old friend Aucoin is on a one year deal in the desert. We can absorb the salary (maybe they'll take Jon Sim to even out the salaries). Send them Sim and Trevor Smith (who looks like he'll never crack this team) for Aucoin. We don't absorb that much salary...but Aucoin should eat up at least what Martinek played

I think the Isles are only going to trade for another Dman if another one of the current top 4 went down long term. Now I loved Aucoin, hated to see him go... but I just dont see Garth trading for his former teammate. I would be fine with him being an Islander, always was, I just dont see it. I mean maybe its just me, but dont you think his previous teammate relationship with Garth would play a role in whether he would do something like this?

The way that Aucoin has been playing in Phx, I dont see the Yotes GM letting him go.

Me neither. And especially not before the deadline, or for some considerable futures.... which Snow is unlikely to give up.

I concur -- don't see this one happening...
