Why is there no coverage for Tuesdays game? Is this a complete absence of coverage or only available at a sports bar perhaps?

VS gets to block all US broadcasts of games they're not showing on Tuesdays. So Tuesdays, the only games you can catch on US stations are on VS.

I'm not sure I understand...for example, next Tuesday's game is on FSN. And there have been a few Tuesday games not on VS but instead on 45...and a few coming up on 45 as well.

I guess VS doesn't always block em then. As far as I understand they have the option to do it every Tuesday.

You sure that Vs, alone makes that decision? Because the whole concept of blocking all nhl games on Tuesday sounds like a terrible idea, I thought the nhl has been trying to get as much publicity as possible, so that makes no sense.

And I dont think that there would be terrible ratings for when we play columbus, because I love to watch rick nash play. I dunno maybe I wrong.

I'm just confused over this? :teehee: :renske:

Yes, VS gets to because that was part of their deal with the NHL. Maybe they can only do it so many times a month.

They can block any game that starts at the same time as their game. I think that's how it works at least.

And, Versus won't leave Comcast, because Comcast owns Versus.

VS holds the 5pm-7pm rights on tuesday nights to host hockey... the Wild game starts at 6, within that window, the next tuesday game starts at 8, outside of that window

I see two games in march that are within that window, but are still being televised locally

*All times MST, i didnt want to waste my time converting over VS being jackasses

Well, that's some BS. So, every game played in the Eastern, Central, and Mountain time-zone arenas in the US on a Tuesday can get blacked out by Versus (because when do games start before 7 local on a weeknight?), but the teams on the Western timezone never do?

However it works, it stinks.

This is what we get from a substandard comish who signs a deal with a substandard network.

Makes me glad I had tickets to tonight's game. I just find it completely strange that neither team had it on their local telecasts. Weird.

Actually, Shannon explained what happen, Versus owned the rights to the game and the Pens Philly game and choice to show only the Pens Philly game so no one could see the game. Sad I know.
