This is probably the most pointless article I have ever read. Winning draws fans, uh, duh. Don't play it off like we're the only place that has fans who want a winner. It's true that South Florida is a pretty big bandwagon town, but the whole article is basically saying we don't have many fans because we haven't made the playoffs in forever. Again, uh, duh. Let's see attendance in Tampa and Phoenix with a playoff drought of 10 years. Hell, let's see it up North. Winning draws fans. Give this guy a fricken Nobel Prize.

I second you Imber, snore- I've heard all this before with Cats fans and it doesn't take a genius to figure it out either.

I agree. These people are saying the same things about Tampa Bay sports. But the thing is, this happens in every single metro area out there, except Green Bay and they only have one team. There are a few franchises where fans show up no matter what, but in that same city there's another franchise where they don't draw flies unless they win.

Exactly Stevis. The only places where people show up no matter what are usually the ones that have very few teams (I know Sabres fans are very loyal, they only have 2 teams). With four pro teams and a bunch of college teams to choose from down here, it's not that hard to figure why it's a bandwagon area. People like me and the other fans on here aren't bandwagon to the Panthers, but I guess it's a rare breed. This article could have been written about 2/3rd's of the NHL.

Yeah up until 2 years ago The Blackhawks, an original 6 franchise were nearly irrelevant in their own home city. Same goes for Washington until Boudreaux (sp?) came in and turned the franchise's direction around.

The anatomy of a Panthers fan is best fan in the NHL if they still care about this team. This is just cruel and unusual torture.
