Okay, I know the likeliness of this happening is nil, but its just an idea...
I love sports. I've been to all kinds of sporting events. Soccer, football, baseball, you name it, I've been there. However, growing up on UM college sports and living in Japan for five years, I've come to embrace "cheering sections." In Japan, they call them "ouendan" (support gangs). They have matching outfits, colorful organized cheers, synchronized noisemakers, unique dances...now, I know that this is not a totally alien thing to American professional sports. The Raiders have the Black Hole, the Browns have the Dog Pound, the Yankees have the Bleacher Creatures, and heck, the Nashville Predators have the Cellblock.
There's already a large group of rabid Panthers fans (Murph, Catfan, Dr. Scruf, etc...) that popularized the entire cowbell gimmick, which is of course cheesy but awesome. I, like many others, applaud their efforts on cheering on the Panthers. For the Panthers (and much of hockey in general), chants are arena-wide and generally scattered. However, if there was one section of the arena to gravitate all this colorful support so that the whole arena explodes in cheering, that would just be, excuse the language, balls awesome. As much as I love Bill Murphy and Randi Ross for MC'ing the games every night, and for the Ice Dancers shaking their booties and the Panther Patrol being themselves, I think there needs to be something very special for the hockey community to take special note of our fanbase and truly appreciate it.
End rant. Go Panthers.

I think that's something that could probably be arranged at the BAC. I have been to Nashville. The Cellblock is funny as shit and completely motivating to hear for the team. They can be vicious too. I think its most definitely a great idea.

The way the Cleveland Browns do it, is that they sell "Dog Pound" seats at much lower prices than the rest of the lower level...however, the "Dog Pound" section is known to be the most rowdy of the stadium which explains the discounted seats. The Panthers could do that, if there's a group of fans who are actually motivated enough to start a cheering section.
If you think about it, a cheering section could be an excellent antidote to Zergling snowbird crowds.

Problem is some of us have season seats in different places. It's hard to just move to one section.
