Not sure how much I'll be watching this time around, it's been getting less and less exciting for me recently. But I'll check in occasionally and see how my boy Jeff Gordon's doing!

Not if Vanilla Jimmie and Cheatin' Chad have their way again.

Most boring and illegitimate champion ever, four times over. :brow[1]:

I may watch a little this year. I haven't watched NASCAR since Rusty Wallace retired. I have been following Carl Edwards a little bit but other than the NASCAR regulars, I don't know much about all the new guys.

Jimmie may be Martin's teammate but I can't stand the guy.

Same here. NASCAR hasn't been the same since Earnhardt died.

I'll probably miss the Daytona 500, not a huge deal. I'll be watching a few races this year..

He's been my favorite for about 12 years now. I really hope he does get that championship. I think I'll cry when he does get it.

As much as I do like Martin and hope he wins one before he calls it a career, I don't think he ever will.

He doesn't have that killer, win-at-all-costs instinct that drivers like Earnhardt Sr., Cale Yarborough, and to a lesser extent, J. Gordon, Stewart and Kyle Busch have, where they aren't afraid to give you a shove and get you out of their way. Look at the top ten in career wins, there's some real hard-nosed racers there... Pearson, Allison, Waltrip, Wallace, Junior Johnson. They might not have been as deliberate about spinning someone out to get ahead like Earnhardt, but they weren't afraid to give the body guys a little extra work if it meant a win.

Johnny Benson was one of the more talented drivers to come along into Cup a little while back and ran extremely well considering how underfunded his team was compared to the mega teams, yet he was too nice a guy and ran too clean, only winning once in Cup. Sadly, I think Mark Martin falls into that category of "nice guys"... just try and remember the last time someone was mad at Mark Martin. It doesn't happen.

Dale Jr's beard just looks ridiculous. Though he could always use it as another excuse why he doesn't run well.
