Not just because I'm a blues fan but, looking over all the entries. this way a tough decision, Gameface is very interesting and funny, and I like to look at it occasionally, however, they seem to look too much at the nhl and other happens and use too many links to other stories to really be considered a Blues Blog in my opinion. Bleedin Blues is pretty good, but, their irregularity of posts and their lack of something special to stand out from other blogs kinda lose points with me. I really like how bluenote zone gives interesting blogs about games and blues happenings, but also have a section about articles on Blues prospects. However, I really like how Frozen Notes has insightful blogs about blues current events, but also has an area for readers to voice their opinions on the blogs, along with a twitter feed of different blues insiders, so you can get a more instant update on blues happenings as they happen.

It appears most people are choosing not to vote for two sites, or don't know they can vote for multiple sites.

So, I really just wanted to vote for SLGT because it is awesome. Not only is it an informative and entertaining read every day (It's my homepage), but there is a great community there. Unlike the other blogs, people comment, often repeatedly, on the entries. Conversations and debates occur. It's overall a much more lively blog than the other options.

But I also looked at the other blogs, hoping to find another blog to add to my roll.

Bleedin' Blue looks cool and all, but it hasn't updated in a month! There is nothing here I couldn't find in the newspaper.

While I think Bluenotezone is not pretty, it is both informative and interesting. Good recaps and articles. And people read and comment on them.

And over at Frozen Notes, the articles just aren't interesting. The format is long and boring, and it's fairly obvious that no one reads them, as there is only one comment in the past two weeks.

St. Louis Game Time FTW!

Thanks for the feedback to the few users who offered it. I will say this, as the lone man behind FrozenNotes, the site actually does get fair traffic, traffic that sticks around and checks out a few pages.

Basing a site's readership solely off comments is pretty silly. If people want to comment they usually hit me up on Twitter.

STLGT really doesn't even belong in this contest, it is beyond any of these other blogs. Sure the writing may be heavily influenced by alcoholism and the commenters are a little bit rough around the edges, on game nights the site will almost shut down due to the traffic it gets. Also I'm still not sure how having links is justification for the site not being a blog...
P.S. this site is confusing as hell to work...

I really like STLGT.
It's easy to navigate, and the posts are real. Feelings, emotions, statements...like sittiing at the bar with good friends watching the game.
The links are informative, as well as entertaining.
It feels like home. That's why it is my home page. The morning is not complete until STLGT is read, and links clicked.
And i really like watching the game with the great commentary on the site. It's even better when the game is BLOCKED in my viewing area, as I get a true feeling for what I am missing.
I know I could have voted for two - but there is only one in my book!
Let's Go Blues!

and F' detroit!

Okay, so I came here to vote for Gameface St Louis Game Time (only) and did so.

After taking a look at Frozen Notes, had I not been a SLGT homer, I may have voted for it, too. It has a harder edge than what I usually like in my Blues blog. After reading the posts about the whole Dish/FSMW debacle, I'm calling Dish so I can save $60 off the next six months -- thanks, FN. I will now go to FN for some strange, but SLGT is is where I hang my hat.

/Injury Call Up?!?

... just adding another voice in support of St Louis Game Time. We're pretty proud of our piece of cyberspace. Didja know that we now have Coach Oshie writing for the site? Check it out sometime. We have an ace prospects department, too, and truly epic Game Day Threads. '

Constant updates, great writing, awesome participation from the commentariat (to coin a term from Deadspin), and a great sense of community. We even have fans from other teams' SBN sites join us.

All competition aside, I'm glad there's other folks out there, writing for the team we all love. Some of these, I hadn't heard of before. I'm definitely adding to my bookmarks...

LGB!

I hate things like this, but I want to ask, can we get an IP check of all these new Blues users who are making their first posts?
I love STLGT. It's a great website, but we now get all these new users posting here? It's a little....coincidental....right?

Go ahead and check. You'll find that all of these fine folks are individuals. GT isn't afraid to pander for votes, but we're not about to make fake profiles and stuff the virtual ballot box (although that may have just become my new favorite euphemism).

We may only sleep when we're dead, but even we don't have time for that level of stupidity.

Well FIVE of the STLGT voters joined on the first. Two joined just yesterday. It's suspicious or VERY coincidental

Yeah, that is highly suspicious. But it could be nothing more than a big coincidence.

Coincidence it is

ALL the Blogs were notified prior to the start of voting, that their blogs were going to be in the Blog off. If people wish to promote themselves on their sites, and inform people of our Blog off, they are free to do so. Hence why we've had so many new members of late. Many different blogs have exactly that. :spiteful:

No reason to think there is anything suspicious going on. GameTime put up a notice about the vote, and the only way you can vote in this poll is if you register.

I think each blog has their own take and style in the way they go about things.
GameTime has an army of posters which does provide constant updates, something that I over at FrozenNotes simply can't accomplish as I am just one writer.

Also, if we can get the new members to stay around after the vote, then, we really accomplshed our biggest goal, building our population. I know how some of us have invested interest in the blog faceoff, but, if it helps our numbers here and it doesn't do any harm to any of the blogs, I'm happy.

Let's Go Blues fans, Join the Soldiers of the Bluenote!!!

On the contrary, my blog was not notified.
Hey, I'm all for getting new guys, it just seemed a little suspicious.

//Just ask me.

PS- On the day of big games, the Game day threads at SLGT number over a thousand posts usually, with many, many different posters.

PPS - I think Juan has something with the phrase "stuff the virtual ballot box". Gonna use that while Christmas shopping today.
