Don't keep your hopes up. He is not a fighter and he wont fight any of the big boys in the league. He is a frustrating player to figure out. He shows glimpes of being a good player and then he will do something stupid. I hope he can figure it out but he is still a project.

Apparently fighting Chara doesn't count as 'fighting one of the big boys'.

Simply put, Arty fights when necessary.

Ok, one "big boy" in all of his 8 NHL fights.

My bad.

I think him having Randy Carlyle as his coach now is going to help him out quite a bit.

Arty CAN fight (ask Chara), but with the way that PIMs get thrown at him, he shouldn't unless he HAS to.

I'm curious... Do Duck fans think your color guy Haystack is lame? He's such a biased motor mouth for such a below-average retired goalie.

He's defending the Kings and you call him biased?

To answer the Curious George-esq question, the award winning Brian Hayward is very well liked by this Ducks fan.

Gotta love it when the coach fights. Check out that hair!

It's so weird to see them without helmets. But, at least Randy got to flaunt his hair, while he had it :)

And, he did have some nice hair back then.

Here's a nice one back in 1998 all out war with Dallas.

This is one of my favorites. I also am fond of this brawl between the Ducks and Flames. I love that Jiggy is third man in and gets tossed from the game--losing his shut out...oh, and I also like the ref giving the running list of penalties as more fights break out. Just once in my life I want to attend a game like this.

Holy crap! I can remember a few games like that when I lived in Pittsburgh in the pre-Mario days.
I love that Jiggy jumps in and I love that one of the guys on the Flames is Neids.
Thanks for posting that!

He's fought a "big boy". But i wouldn't consider that to mean much. Chara has mainly been a throw a few and take 'em down quick fighter for years now. When goes back the o fighting heavies then i'll consider him a fighter again. And healthy enforcers too. People went crazy when he busted Koci's nose a couple years ago. Congratulations, he broke it 5 days prior, if he got hit with a news paper that thing would have busted again.

I was happy to see Mike Brown actually get to fight someone his own size.
