The Blues signed Brian Elliott to a 1 year 2 way deal to backup Halak. What's your thoughts on him?

I've watched this guy since he's played with the Wisconsin Badgers. He is absolutely brilliant, but unfortunately has not 1 shred of confidence after a lack of commitment by the Sens to ever name him the #1 guy for the job. After the 2009-2010 season he should have been made to feel the job was his. From what I heard he has a rebound control problem at the NHL level that he did not have at the college level. But one thing I will say is, the guy is a natural born winner. He brought the Badgers together to win the NCAA championship for Wisconsin while playing in the AHL and legitimately attending and passing all his classes. The team really centered around this guy, and I believe he still has it in him, he just needs to play for a team that will work him in and re-bolster his confidence.

He's the worst goalie I've ever seen in an Avalanche sweater, bar none. Absolutely terrible. Can't believe he's playing in the NHL really.

Agreed. A sieve is what comes to my mind.

I really liked Elliot, and he bailed us out a couple of years ago when the Sens couldn't buy a goalie, and he was there when Leclaire couldn't do much either. I realize he is not the greatest goalie ever, but I believe he is a pretty decent back up goalie who can do some starting time during a season.
