Speaking of Facebook, has anybody noticed the hockey players who supposedly have accounts? I've seen Ryan Miller, Ty Conklin, Tim Konsorada (ECHL's Dayton Bombers) Geoff Platt, Dan Fritsche, Marty Biron, Marc Methot, Jordan Staal, Rick Nash & even Lindy Ruff.

My question is how many (if any) of these are legit & how many are people with a computer posing as Jordan Staal or Donald Brashear? I could imagine some of the younger guys (Methot, Konsorada, Platt) having them, but Rick Nash & Lindy Ruff?

Anybody know?

I question it now that facebook is for everyone. Back when it was only for college kids, I tried to be friends with Patrick Eaves but he never added me..

I was devastated haha!

Haha...that sucks Dan. I'm with you though, it's kinda sketchy seeing anybody can get a Facebook account. What made me suspicious in the first place was seeing a Facebook for "Dale Earnhardt, Jr." recently. Yeah, right.

Some of the players are in college/school networks. Taking examples from the user "Syracuse Crunch" that added me a while back (which is how I even noticed these names in the first place), Dan Fritsche's (which has disappeared) was in the Bowling Green network & Patrick Kane shows up in some secondary school's network. The rest of them pop up are in regional networks. Kris Russell's is in the Calgary one, Platt is listed as in the Toronto network, Conklin in Pittsburgh, etc.

But then again, "Sid Crosby" shows up in the Pittsburgh network as well.

I met a few people from way back on Facebook. But not enough to make me enjoy the site.

I'm finding it very boring.

Facebook is the mellow version of MySpace.

I actually prefer Facebook. MySpace is too 'loud' and messy as hell. Facebook is more organized.

I like organized entities.

Hmmmm ... I check in every 2-3 days or so and only stay for about an hour each time. Does that make me an addict?

I dunno.

How's Facebook doing in Europe?
