As you likely have heard by now, Nikita Filatov was sent down to Binghamton yesterday afternoon. Peter wrote his reaction to a move that shocked almost everyone, and disappointed many including me. I feel it was a pretty bad move by the club after promising him he would get every chance at a top six spot. He may very well get it again, but sending him down this quickly is not the right way to go about things. While I would love Mika Zibanejad to score a goal before he is sent back, wouldn't it make more sense to send Zibanejad back and play the guy who is actually going to play here this year?

Full story

This is a great story by Silver Nuggets, and it is good to see that Filatov is taking this move better than he did in Columbus.

Well, it appears that Filatov is going to make the most of his time with the B-Sens. I am glad to hear that he was actually smiling.
He knows as well as we do that the better he does in Binghamton, the quicker he'll be back in Ottawa.

It doesn't hurt either that he knows they are the defending Calder Cup champs, and maybe he wants to add to the resume...might help his confidence a little nit being down there. Nobody likes to be sent down and then play for a team who can't buy a win.
