Well Jamie Benn did. (Only because Griess stroked off their for a moment due to boredem. He kinda stared at a rebound then jamie... then back at the puck... then jamie. It was one of those high intensity confused hollywood scenes)

Agreed! Jamie Benn was amazing at the skills competition this year! I think our 4th line guys should take runs at him all game like they do with Couture!

Isn't that the job of the 4th line? To hit the skilled guys as much as they possibly can?

In San Jose, we tend to use our 4th line guys to protect the talent and chip in a few goals and play some hockey, not take runs at the opposing team's talent with no intention of playing the puck. How much has San Jose had to pay for penalty-wise, monetary and game time? Dallas? I can very much bet with my life that San Jose is a whole lot less penalized on the ice and pocketbook than Dallas.

Well, I'd politely disagree. I've been around hockey enough to know what a 4th line is for and that your Sharks 4th line is hardly the flock of sheep you just painted them as.

Mind you, if you are right, it might explain why the Sharks can't win the playoffs .........

Just saying.

Burish has 12 points in 34 games, and Wandell has 11 in 45... Two of which were on our "tatted up" 4th line... I'd say that's pretty decent point production from 4th liners who have yet to be suspended or fined...

I can only think of one person (Fistric) who has been substantially fined this season...

Noteable numbers: The Stars do have 100+ minutes more total in penalties, but I can confidently say the majority of those are frustration penalties (I.E. Tripping, hooking, etc.)

"Goon" penalties- Majors: San Jose-21/Dallas-22... Misconducts: San Jose-7/Stars-9... Neither squad has a game misconduct

I wouldn't start betting your life on anything just yet

Ah, so the philosophy has changed since last year's playoffs then? Because I remember Eager went on an irresponsible tear to the point he got himself scratched by acting like a liability. And I'm hoping a guy like Eager was a 4th liner for the Sharks. He certainly shouldn't be any higher than that.
