Or are we looking at an early tee off time? Right now, we have 26 games left, and an 8 point deficit to reaching 8th place. Most of our games are at home. But we have to win 2/3 of our remaining games to even have a shot.
We keep saying 'goalie goalie goalie', but that wouldnt of helped us last night. Do we instead focus on who should we let go at the deadline and who we should try for over the summer? We had a few 1 year contracts, and Downie's contract is up this year. Right now, the main core is signed with Marty, Vinny, Steven, Brewer, Nate and Hedman. I beieve we have 1 year left for Teddy. And then Kubina and Ohlund, who if he doesnt retire due to this injury, both have many years left on their contracts.

Nate Thompson, while excellent at what he does, is not core. He is a roll player.
There's always a chance until they are mathematically eliminated. Will they make it? Probably not.
