The L.A. Kings wasted no time last night to rub it in the Canucks' face and taunt the entire province by Tweeting, "To everyone in Canada outside of BC, you're welcome." Not surprisingly, fans reacted by saying that the L.A. Kings are a bunch of "claseless" "jerks." Others, however, found humour in the tweet and reprimanded complainers for being thin-skinned.

I found it kind of funny myself, but with that said it would mean a bunch more if they had won the series not just one game.

What do you think, to much?

Sure, it's funny, but I'm with Damned here... Those Kings fans are gonna look stupid if they lose the series... Still need three more before you start blowing up twitter

The tweet was from the Kings themselves though! Not just fans. That's what makes it even more dumb in my mind, that's like poking a bear with a stick and hoping it works out well.

I found it funny. Classless, but still funny.

It'll be really funny though if they go and lose the series like said.

I think it's good they opened up the trash talk with the possibility to have it thrown back at them. Too bad the prevailing response from the Canucks has been "Waaaaaah" instead of "We're gonna make you eat that."

In case you’re still stewing with outrage over the sheer audacity of the Los Angeles Kings Twitter account, I want you to know that they have heard your cries. Thursday afternoon, the Kings apologized for the tweet, which was, of course, heinous. It was in poor taste to suggest the Sedins were women, claim Francophones such as Alain Vigneault and Alex Burrows should be exiled to France, call Cory Schneider a ginger, and make a riot joke all in one tweet.

I don't know how that could possibly be considered classless.

Everyone knows us Canadians outside of BC thanked the Kings organization via twitter the moment the empty net goal was scored.

I thought it was very polite of them to say that we were welcome.

Feh. Since it was after game one, I have no problem with it. Had it been after the Kings won the series, I would've probably found it to be in poor taste. Bad sportsmanship and all that.

I don't know. I welcome this type of trash talking. Certainly not over the line in my books.

I don't know. I'm pretty sure if for example, the Canucks win the series, I posted on here "To everyone in the U.S. outside of Southern California: You're welcome" it would quickly be reported and eventually deleted, because it's not nice and serves no purpose. (Actually, I'd report myself. Heh.)

Can you think of an example of legitimate trash talking that would serve more purpose than this did?

Nope. But trash talking during a series is a lot different than after one has ended. At least that's what my Mom taught me. Heh. "We're going to beat you" is a lot better than "Ha ha we beat you".

I'd have no problem with this if it came from Kings fans, or from one of the players. I think its a bit much coming on the official team twitter feed.

Although I agree with everyone that it will be hilarious if the Kings end up losing the series now.
