This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, but now it’s confirmed: Jason Blake and Niklas Hagman will have to find new employers. The two veterans are scheduled to become unrestricted free agents this summer and the Anaheim Ducks plan to move on without them.

Both are likely to take significant pay cuts in 2012-13 – if they get signed at all.

Nothing new at all but Ducks GM Bob Murray confirmed to season-ticket holders today that wingers Jason Blake and Niklas Hagman won't return.

I thought we could possibly see Blake back at a much reduced salary, but I am not surprised at all to hear that neither he nor Hagman will be returning.

Sounds like something Don Maloney looks for on FA day. Hagman also used to play for Tippett. Hmmmm.

Both players didn't have awful seasons so I can see them getting offers to play elsewhere.
