Edmonton Oilers defenceman Andy Sutton will undergo knee surgery in a few weeks, and the road to recovery has the veteran reflecting on his NHL future.

Speaking to NHL Insider Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com, Sutton pointed out that the rehab attached to the surgery is long and arduous. And with the current situation in collective bargaining talks between the NHL and the NHLPA, he's not sure how he'll come out of it on the other side.

He doesn't impact this team immensely, but that still sucks none the less.

Not to mention that sounds painful.

Yeah, we aren't really losing much from him being out, if we ever play, but it still sucks for him.

Not that I wish injury or pain or rehab on Sutton, but this is good for the Edmonton Oilers: it saves Tambellini from a contract which he signed for simply too much money and not enough likely return.
