People give me such pathetic looks... I am walking around in an Islanders jersey and even I question why I am doing it at this point.

I went to a Bridgeport Sound Tigers game the other night and let THEM break my heart, but even the unquestionable familiarity of watching my team suffer a crushing loss did not fill the void in my heart.

At this point I no longer think there will be an NHL season. I have felt all of my hope drain away.

The part that upsets me the most is that it is all for nothing. Nobody is going to benefit from this canceled season - not the owners, players, fans, sponsors, networks, NOBODY.

I am so pissed off at this point I havent seriously worn a Jersey since last spring..... Fuck the NHL... Fuck the Players... If they want to screw the fans and sponsors.... lets have the fans and sponsors screw you.... a fan strike should follow up this lockout

I miss the game. If the season is cancelled they better iron out whatever differences they have and sign a long term contract. How many more lockouts can one league have ??

It's been so depressing. I look forward to talking hockey but I cannot muster the energy at this point to discuss anything. I want to get excited about the development going on in Bridgeport but it just doesn't matter to me. I haven't even contacted my rep about my ticket package in the hopes that I will still get to use it this season but a part of me just wants them to cancel the whole season so I can put that money to some real use.

If I decide to wear a jersey any given day, it usually doesn't stay on me long. I'm almost glad the nearest hockey teams are long drives away from my house...

I've been using basketball to fill the void. Free admission to every game for a major D-1 program and an NBA team a 15 minute subway ride away. It's not the same, but it gives me something to get excited about. Terrible year for the Nets to leave, but they can go fuck themselves.

This lockout is the same for me as the rest of them have been: I wish I had NHL games to watch, but it's not the end of the world for me. I don't buy or wear jerseys anyway (I have one that I haven't put on for about 6 years) so it's not like that affects me at all.

I just focus on all the money it's saving me. Other than that...yeah, it sucks. I miss seeing alot of my friends too.

I don't miss it very much, and it's less and less each passing day.
I play twice/three times a week, take my granddaughter skating or swimming, read, go to a Kelowna Rocket game occasionally. In other words, I've filled my time with a lot of other things. All in all, unlike last lockout, I don't care when they come back. This time they'll get whatever spare time I have left, if any. I won't be rushing back.

They are only hurting their product. Fans can find other things to occupy their time with. And the more we find to do, the less likely we will be to set aside additional time for a game.

I haven't worn any San Jose Sharks gear since the beginning of the lockout. I went to a San Francisco Bulls game on Saturday and wore only my Worcester Sharks hat. Felt weird not wearing a jersey but I refuse to wear NHL gear until the lockout ends.

I used to follow the NBA through the year, watch key games, watched as much of the playoffs as I could and watched all of the Finals. Then, after the '92 Championship, I just quit watching. Any of it. At all.

I don't really know why, but I haven't watched or followed the league in 20 years. Just happened.

I can't do it. It bores the hell out of me. For me, I watch football and anything MMA, UFC ect.

I'm still wearing my NHL stuff. but... Buffalo's good for some other hockey. College hockey's everywhere -- not overwhelmingly good, but it's here. lol. Went to the All-American Prospects Game a couple of months ago, saw Canisius College play AIC on Saturday, and I'm covering my school's women's hockey team for the campus newspaper. And I've been hunting down whatever hockey I can find on TV.

What really sucks is the lack of affordable AHL/CHL coverage. AHL/OHL Live are expensive as all get-out, and there are no monthly payment options. I refuse to drop $300 on an entire season for just one league. Never did it for the NHL, not doing it here. It just sucks, because I have to rely on game recaps and box scores for BST games and write-ups for Aerys. Makes for some pretty dry coverage. :\

I still want to see if I can make it to Niagara for some IceDogs hockey... seeing as, you know, we've drafted half the roster. :P

Other sports? Once in a blue moon, college basketball and/or soccer. But mainly football.
