When your accustomed to a "pay cheque" , anything would be welcome, even if its for "coffee".

I pay 30 grand to take on a full work load. So yes, I'd appreciate a free 10K. I'd actually appreciate $2, to keep the other $2 in my wallet company.

I make about 20k annually... so... sure, 10 grand would be a spectacular help...

I am to the point of saying fuck these greedy bastards. Where's the 10 G's for all the teams office and other staff help who may not've gotten checks due to this lock out/strike?

If you look closely enough at the Zapruder film, you can actually see it was Donald Fehr on that grassy knoll...

-The players' stipend is, unless I'm completely wrong, something they've paid into ahead of time. I don't see the big upset here.
-It sucks that NHL support staff have been laid off for now, but we can't lay it completely at the feet of the NHLPA.

i put it at the feet of the owners and players i don't see none of them wanting to help the concession workers or venders that work the game that depends on THEM for a paycheck no game means no paycheck for them

For what it's worth, money not spent at the arena is money spent on entertainment elsewhere. All over, restaurants, bars, bowling alleys, movie theatres, etc, etc, etc, are all doing better during the lockout, which helps their poorly paid employees.

Ideally, any of the support staff has to be well aware that their livelihood depends on each passing CBA that needs to be agreed upon by both the NHL and the NHLPA. So if they chose that for a living, so be it.
