To anyone not familiar with the Arena Bookie, it is one of several officially sanctioned fantasy games hosted here at The NHL Arena.

Despite the term, the Bookie is not an online gambling network, but instead a contest involving simple predictions for each NHL game's victor in our shortened regular season schedule, along with each playoff game. The Arena Bookie has only one winner... the member that successfully predicts the most outcomes.

Thus far that single winner received nothing but pride. However, this season in hopes of rejuvenating our fan-ship and promoting the rattling of our boards, GWTLAH has agreed to put up a Canadian dollar for every 50 bets logged in, and place it into a pot for our eventual winner.

In a 48 game season, with 30 different clubs, there will be a total of 720 games this regular season. Multiply that by a healthy turn out and you begin to get the idea of how much money might be riding on your inner crystal ball.

The Arena Bookie can be found in the first post of each official Game Day Thread hosted here at The NHL Arena... which can be found on the home team's board prior to the time each puck drops. And all it takes to play, is your best guess as to who will walk away that night, victorious.

So please help us by getting the word out to friends, family and any other avid hockey fan you can find, so that we can collectively make this prize a lucrative one.

So, I'm new to the boards, and this sweet competition you have going - so don't hate me on these questions. So every game night, under the respective teams there will be a X vs X, and we just post who we think will win? Does anyone keep track of the responses? Sorry for possibly dumb questions haha.

Pretty much but you don;t post who you think will win...you select your winner from the 2 choices given. You'll see once it gets going. The score is automatically kept track of. Up towards the top of the main page on the Arena just under the main title banner you will see several words and links starting on the left: CBA, Fans, Schedule, etc. You will also see "Bookie". By clicking on that you will be able to see scores and leaders, etc.

I hope this helps explain better. If not keep asking questions.

To expand on what Q said, if you follow the link below you'll find a GDT from last year; just beneath the forum header and team banner you'll see where the Bookie is located.

So all you'll do is, before game time, go to the GDT for each game you want to make a pick in, click the button/circle next to whichever team you're picking, and then click the "Submit" (or similarly-worded) button inside that Bookie area.

That's really all there is to it.

Not true. Remember we solved this issue. If you have an Android phone you have to disable mobile view so you see the Arena in it's desktop format. I just tried it and made my pick for the Bruins/Rangers game from my phone.

I am running iOS whatever, but I did not try out of mobile view. I'll have to keep that in mind next time.

I've only conducted this testing with Android. A few people on iphone who tried this said they didn't have the option of switching between mobile view and full site view. Typical Apple product giving no customizing abilities. But poke around on your phone and see if you can find it. Let us know.
