One pictures BOD studying rosters and breakout players furiously into the night.

"Hmm, Damien Brunner, he's old enough" he thinks to himself. "No way a guy like that is still available."

Just for kicks, he thumbs through the roster thread. As each passing team goes without Brunner's name, he goes quicker. In a fit of heated excitement, BOD skips over Brunner's inconspicuous slot on Selly's bench.

"Holy shit!" BOD says, standing up and arms raising high into the air. "Brunner is available!"

Not believing his luck, BOD hurriedly opens up the LSHL rules and finds confirmation that free agents can be signed immediately following the LSHL draft.

"I better get in there before those bastards Deezy, Imber, and MOB claim his ass," BOD exclaims.

With an elevated heartbeat and sweat beading up on his forehead, BOD busts into the LSHL forum and hits create thread.

"Load computer load!" he yells at the hockey gods from his chair, before being granted access. "...And also with our 2012-2013 FA addition, Dallas would like to add Damien Brunner of the Detroit Red Wings. Place him on the bench for the start of the year please."

"Fuck yeah!" BOD yells, thoughts of Brunner on Toews' line bringing him to full mast. "What a coup."

Three minutes later a response is posted to his thread, inexplicably at nearly 4 am EST.

"These bastards never sleep," BOD says. "I bet MOB has come into say what a steal this was and how he couldn't believe this one got passed him."

BOD's dreams quickly disintegrated into a nightmare as he opened the thread. MOB revealed the horrifying truth that Brunner's not available. Now he's just somebody that BOD used to know. The parade would have to wait.
