Maple Leafs head coach Randy Carlyle said on Thursday that Joffrey Lupul will be out a minimum of six weeks after the forward suffered a broken forearm on Wednesday against Pittsburgh.

I was watching the game and thought he was slashed but as they say, after review , saw the shot from the point hit him. He was doing his job . Can I ask , why don't the players use the protection available to them ? Either slash guardes or reg. gloves.
