It's shame that the refs couldn't get this right last night, might not have cost the Blues two points, but it's good that the NHL got the black mark off Backes' name. any replay showed that backes made a clean hit, no idea why the refs couldn't get together and talk over the call, like officals in every other sport does all the time. Hopefully, New york had a nice conversation with referee Ian Walsh and also gave all refs a nice warning that if you're not 100% sure of what you saw, A. ask for help or B. don't make the call.

Do we need replacements that call a goal and no goal at the same time? Or possibly a slashing and hooking penalty at the same time?
