One of the breakout stories of the 2012/13 NHL season was rewarded on Wednesday as the Anaheim Ducks signed rookie goaltender Viktor Fasth to a two-year, $5.8 million contract extension.

Fasth has been great and everything but I don't think this going to turn out to be a bright move on Murrays part.

At this point in time, I think this is a great move by the Ducks. If Fasth keeps playing like this, he will be well worth the money.

At this point in time, I think this is a great move by the Ducks. If Fasth keeps playing like this, he will be well worth the money.
Giguere played well too and then hit a brick wall after he got a huge contract. Goalies and big contracts IMO are not a bright move.

Definitely!
I like guy because of this deal, he wants to play, cause I'm sure he knows he would have gotten more money on the open market.
