I don't think there should be any jersey etiquette. My buddy felt so awkward when we went to a Buffalo Sabres game, and he had a neutral jersey on (of some other random team). I didn't understand why, but after reading this post, I guess I do. 

Yeah, he would have been way better off wearing the opposing teams jersey instead.

Actually that might have been a smart idea since it was a buffalo sabres game at home.

 

If your buddy had been wearing the opposing teams jersey and the sabres lost, he'd probably have to deal with a bunch of drunk upset sabres fans trying to attack him. :whistling:  :hysterical:

And besides, why would anyone wear a Gomez jersey unless they were being forced to at gunpoint?
