They are in trouble. Things are going wrong, and the schedule is about to hit a rough patch, and it is time for the good players of the Lightning to be good players.
 
In other words, it is Marty Time.
 
They are sliding backward. The losses keep mounting, and the ice is getting slippery, and the team could use a familiar face to get a little momentum going.
 
In other words, it is Vinny O'clock.

Hmmmm, I know stats don't tell all the whole story, but I think I would be pointing the finger at other players needing to chip in before I dump all over those two.

Isn't MSL near the top of the league in assists/points?

MSL himself said that his play has been poor. He had a goal tonight, but was like one goal in 17 games before that

 

VL4 has actually been consistent.
