Bio
Once apon a time, in a small town far far away from Boston, there was much rejoicing in the local watering hole for both the Boston Bruins winning the Stanley Cup, and the upcoming son/daughter of a member. This daughter sat in wonder at her father and his use of colorful language many years later to tune in the hockey games, which amazed her. And at her first game in The Garden she fell in love with the game of hockey and the Black and Gold.
Over the years she has followed them in both the good and the bad years, fighting with her younger sister as to who controls the TV and what'll be on it - some crappy 90210 episode or the like, or the kick ass Bruins game - until each were handed 9" b&w to watch their stuff if they were the loser. And she sat in her bedroom in the most uncomfortable position for the best reception for Neely, Bourque and crew push towards 2 chances to bring the Cup home. And each time her heart broke as they were stopped by the Edmonton Oilers, and was allowed to stay out of school each time.
Even the 6 years in N. Florida didn't keep her away from her team. Upon returning and getting back into the groove of a hockey fan in a hockey zone, her family realized how crazy this woman is for the game and the amount of Black and Gold that courses through her veins for her team, the one and only Boston Bruins. The names may have changed, and the game in some ways too; however she still has her first ever jersey (Neely, with the A of course) and is still dragging family and friends to games when able.
She is me, and I am passing on the love of hockey to a little red head who's just as feisty and has a pretty good backhand in street hockey.
